OPERATING PROCEDURES
Read all of SAFETY and this section before attempting any procedure. Pay particular attention to Notices, Cautions, Warnings and Dangers.

To prevent the risk of severe injury or death to operator, occupants or bystanders, consider the fol-
lowing when selecting an object to attach the cable to:
Make sure the object can not be pulled over or damaged.
The object the winch cable is attached to can fall on the vehicle and its occupants.
If attaching the winch to a dead tree, a section of the tree can fall.
When pulling the vehicle with the winch, pull straight only. Do not let the cable to contact the side
of the drum.
Do not pull vehicle at an angle. If the vehicle is pulled at an angle, it can turn over causing severe
injury or death to anyone in the area. The winch cable can also become overstressed and break
causing severe injury or death to anyone hit by the cable.
To prevent the risk of severe injury or death, read and understand the following warnings before
attempting to use the winch:
The winch is not for use in any lift operation.
The rolling load capacity of the winch decreases with the angle of the slope.
The winch is designed for intermittent duty only.
The electric motor must not be allowed to become excessively hot. If the motor becomes
uncomfortably hot to the touch, stop the winch and allow the motor to cool.
Wear thick leather gloves when handling the cable.
Replace a worn or frayed cable with a factory replacement only.
Never operate the winch with less than five (5) full turns of cable around the drum.
If the winch motor stops from overloading, do not continue to activate the winch remote control. The wire cable can
become overstressed.
Do not try to pull loads more than the manufacturers maximum load rating.
All persons and pets must leave the area while operating the winch. Never allow anyone to remain in the vehicle.
To prevent damage to the cable, never hook the cable to itself. Always use a nylon sling.
