Chapter 9 Maintenance

9.1.2 Replacing the Reflective Lamp Unit

The reflective lamp unit is located beneath the base glass.

Light level is too low

The following message window is displayed on the screen.

To exit from the message window, perform one of the following:

Click

Abort

. The scanner application quits. Replace the Reflective

lamp unit, according to the procedure outlined below.

•

Click

Ignore

and continue with the pre-scan/scan. Replace the

Reflective lamp unit when you have completed your work.

Replacement Procedure

To replace the reflective lamp unit, perform the following:

Switch the scanner
