7.3 Stage 3: Enter the Serial Number
After a few seconds, the Scanner Serial Number screen is displayed:
To enter the scanner serial number:
1. Enter the scanner serial number. The number is displayed in one of
the following locations:
• below the barcode, on the label on the back of the scanner
•
on the calibration slide.
Each of the locations is shown in the illustrations on the following
pages. The number consists of a combination of digits and
characters, for example, 0208-98815/01. It is not necessary to enter
the /01 in the end of the scanner serial number.
2. Click Confirm .
The scanner parameters are now automatically copied to the
EverSmartDb.iQsmart file as follows:
•
Macintosh : System disk
→
System folder
→
Preference folder
• PC : System disk
→
WINNT folder.
If you have an iQsmart2 scanner, the name of the file is EverSmartDb.iQsmart2.
