19. Maintenance and cleaning
The product requires no servicing from you apart from any necessary replacement of the battery.
Have any repair carried out by a specialist or specialist workshop.
Clean the product with a soft, clean, dry and lint-free cloth. To achieve a better cleaning action, the
cloth can be dampened with lukewarm water.
You can very easily remove dust with a clean, soft brush and a vacuum cleaner.
Never use cleaning agents containing solvents or scouring detergents; they could attach the plastic
housing; besides, its function can be compromised.
20. Disposal
a) General
When the device has become unusable, dispose of it in accordance with the current
statutory regulations.
b) Batteries and accumulators
You, as the ultimate consumer, are required by law (
Battery Ordinance
) to return all spent batteries/
accumulators.
Disposing of spent batteries/accumulators in the household waste is prohibited!
Batteries/accumulators containing hazardous substances are marked by the symbols
alongside. These symbols also indicate that it is prohibited to dispose of these batteries
in the household waste. The symbols for the heavy metals concerned are as follows:
Cd
=cadmium,
Hg
=mercury,
Pb
=lead (the designation is written on the accumulator e.g.
under the rubbish can symbols depicted at the left).
You can hand in your used batteries/accumulators at the official collection points of your
community at no cost, at our outlets or everywhere where batteries/accumulators are
sold.
You thus fulfil your statutory obligations and contribute to the protection of the environment.
