After mounting the smoke detector, a function control should be carried out.
To do this, proceed as follows:
• Press the test button (

) till an alarm is triggered (acoustically through transducer and optically by
means of the indicator light). The test is terminated on releasing the test button.
• The integration and addressing of the radio smoke detector "RM50" in combination with the alarm
dialler "AW50" is described in section 10. b) .
Normally the "AW50" alarm dialer reacts to
all
"RM50" radio smoke detectors and/or
"KeyMatic CAC" in the radio range.
This means that if your neighbour uses the same system, eg a smoke alarm in your
neighbour’s house is also signaled by your alarm dialer (programmable telephone
numbers will be dialed).
In order to avoid this, the smoke detectors used by you (and also an existing "KeyMatic
CAC") should be registered on the alarm dialer.
After that the alarm dialer will only react to registered devices. For this purpose, see
chapter 10. b).
