c) Function test via "KeyMatic CAC"
Please note the operating instructions to "KeyMatic CAC"; the function test is possible during the
programming of "KeyMatic CAC".
d) Test of transmission path between the "AW50" alarm dialer and
a "RM50" radio smoke detector
With this test, you can test the radio link between the individual radio smoke detectors "RM50" and
the alarm dialler "AW50" , without triggering a call in doing so.
Please note:
There can be a period of up to 10 seconds between the triggering of the smoke detector
and the reaction of the alarm dialler. Keep an interval of at least 30 seconds between the
test of two smoke detectors.
Assistance by a second person may be advisable who monitors the speech playback of
the alarm dialler.
1. Activate programming mode

• Red LED "Mode" flashes, entry level 2 is active
• The test operation is now activated for 15 minutes.
• Trigger the desired smoke detector (press and keep pressed the test button of the smoke
detector till alarm is outputted).
• If the alarm dialler receives the radio signal from the smoke detector, it plays the message for
the smoke alarm. The green LED "Status" lights up at the same time.
• Continue the test with the next smoke detector.
3. Terminate the test mode
• The test mode is terminated automatically after 15 minutes or by pressing any key on the alarm
dialler.
• The red LED "Mode" goes off, the programming mode is terminated and the alarm dialler returns
to the normal operation
