Overview
In
order
to
avoid
damage
to
the
modems
and
the
CRS
‐
311
1:1
Redundancy
Switch,
it
is
important
that
you
follow
this
sequence
of
configuration:
•
First,
connect
cables
between
the
(powered
OFF)
modems
and
Switch
as
outlined
in
Chapter
3.
CABLES
AND
CONNECTIONS
.
•
Second,
configure
the
modems
for
1:1
redundant
operation
as
outlined
in
this
chapter
in
Sect.
4.2
Modem
Configuration
.
•
Third,
when
using
SLM
‐
5650/5650A
modems
for
1:1
redundant
operation:
If
needed,
configure
the
Switch
RMI/TMI
modules
as
outlined
in
this
chapter
in
Sect.
4.3
