3.2.4 Data Traffic Connections – CRS-311 to Modems
3.2.4.1 EIA-530 V.35/EIA-232 Data Traffic Connections
Referring to Figure 3 ‐ 2 , connect and secure the CA/WR0066 ‐ 4 25 ‐ pin Control and Data Cable
between the CRS ‐ 311 and each CDM ‐ Qx/QxL as follows:
•
From the DB ‐ 25M connector labeled “P2” on the RMI or “P1” on the TMI, to
•
The DB ‐ 25F connector labeled “EIA ‐ 530” on the demodulator.
3.2.4.2 Balanced G.703 Data Traffic Connections
Referring to Figure 3 ‐ 3 , connect and secure the CA/WR9038 ‐ 4 15 ‐ pin Data Cable between the
CRS ‐ 311 and each CDM ‐ Qx/QxL as follows:
•
From the DB ‐ 15M connector labeled “P1” on the RMI or TMI, to
•
The DB ‐ 15F connector labeled “G.703” on the demodulator.
3.2.4.3 Unbalanced G.703 Data Traffic Connections
Referring to Figure 3 ‐ 4:
•
First, connect and secure the CA/WR0813 ‐ 4 BNC Tx Cable between the CRS ‐ 311 and
each CDM ‐ Qx/QxL as follows:
o
From the BNC connector labeled “J4” on the RMI or “J3” on the TMI, to
o
The BNC connector labeled “Tx” on the demodulator.
•
Next, connect and secure the CA/WR0813 ‐ 4 BNC Rx Cable between the CRS ‐ 311 and
each CDM ‐ Qx/QxL as follows:
o
From the BNC connector labeled “J3” on the RMI or “J5” on the TMI, to
o
The BNC connector labeled “Rx” on the demodulator.
3.2.4.4 HSSI Data Traffic Connections
Referring to Figure 3 ‐ 5 , connect and secure the CA/WR9189 ‐ 4 HSSI Data Cable between the
CRS ‐ 311 and each CDM ‐ Qx/QxL as follows:
•
From the HSSI connector labeled “J2” on the RMI or “J3” on the TMI, to
•
The HSSI connector labeled “HSSI” on the demodulator.
