Compaq ServerNet II PCI Adapter and Switch Installation Guide

Installing the Compaq Windows Sockets Direct
SAN Service Provider

You can install the Compaq Windows Sockets Direct (WSD) SAN Service Provider option after
you install the ServerNet II software. For information about the WSD SAN Service Provider,
see Appendix N, “Compaq Windows Sockets Direct SAN Service Provider.”

To install the WSD SAN Service Provider, follow these steps:

1.

Start the ServerNet II installation program from the ServerNet II CD. The ServerNet II
Installation screen appears.

2.

From the ServerNet II Installation screen, select WinSockDirect Service Provider.

3.

The installation wizard for the Compaq WSD SAN Service Provider (SnetSanP) appears.
Click Next.

4.

The completion screen appears with a dialog that indicates you should reboot the server.
Click Yes to restart or No to restart later.
