A ServerNet II Switch failed neighbor validation on one of its ports. The offending node
will not be able to receive or transmit ServerNet II data packets until the situation is
corrected.

The neighbor on Switch snetSwitchSnetID, (snetSwitchName), port
snetSwitchPortErrorStatusIndex could not be validated by the Switch.

Indicates the port that detected the change

Indicates the ID of the neighbor which has changed
Possible Cause
Possible Solution
Bad Node
Run diagnostics to validate offending nodes.
Incorrect Cabling
Verify Cabling and correct if necessary.
Non-IBC compliant node
Offending node may not be participating in the IBC
protocol. Node may need to be added using special
handling in the Administrator GUI.
Incorrect Configuration
Switch Configuration may be incorrect. Reconfigure
switch.
Node not added to the SAN
Offending node may not have been added to the SAN.
Run Administrator GUI to add node.
Incorrect SAN Installation
Offending node may not have been correctly added to
the SAN. Run Administrator GUI to verify status and
add if necessary.
NOTE:
The only (non-programmatic) way to get a switch to rerun neighbor checks is to cycle link state. If
the solution does not toggle the link-state, then the user will have to manually cycle the power on the
offending node.
