   Compaq ServerNet II PCI Adapter and Switch Installation Guide

Steps 38-40 describe how to configure a backup
administrative node.

NOTE:

  Configuration of a backup administrative node is recommended. This node will perform the same

functions as the primary node should the primary node not be available. For example, SNMP data may
not be available if you do not have a backup node specified, because only the primary node can perform
SNMP data management.
