Failed Link between Computer and Switch
This failure was caused by disconnecting one end of the SAN cable that connected computer
HW-TB6-S12 and Port 3 of Switch-X. This failure prevents transactions between computer
HW-TB6-S12 and the SAN on the Switch-X fabric (local computer port X). The resulting
example is analogous to problems that might occur with the following:
■
Defective, loose, missing or disconnected cable
■
Defective ServerNet II PCI Adapter in the computer
■
Defective daughter card in the Switch
