Select Component Installation Status.

From this screen, verify that the applications you installed are listed. If they are correct, go
to Step 13. If they are not, repeat Steps 1-12 and reinstall the application.
Steps 13-16 describe how to attach the cable and test
the connections.

Attach the cable from the ServerNet II Adapter on the primary node to the Switch (or to
both Switches, if there are two.) It does not matter to which Switch you cable the X and Y
primary node. However, you should follow your SAN topology design.

With the Switch powered on, check the LED beside the Switch port (
not
the LED on the
front of the Switch) to ensure the correct port lights.
15.
Check the event log to see if it logged the connection(s).

If Steps 14 and 15 are OK, you can use SANUtil to add the Switch(es) and any end nodes
to the SAN topology, as described in the next section. If either step fails, see Appendix F,
“ServerNet II ServerNet II Troubleshooting.”
