Removing and Replacing a Memory
Expansion Board
The memory expansion boards connect to the processor board, which is located
inside the right side access panel. To remove a memory expansion board:
1.
If the server is on, place the server in Standby and disconnect the power
cord(s). See Chapter 2, “Server Installation and Start Up.”
2.
Remove the right side access panel. See Chapter 3, “Server Operation.”
WARNING:
To reduce the risk of personal injury from hot
surfaces, allow the internal system components to cool before
touching them.
3.
Remove the memory expansion board service bracket by removing the
orange service screw
, rotating the left side of the bracket out of the slot
, and pulling the bracket away from the chassis

IMPORTANT:
When reinstalling the memory expansion board service
bracket, secure the orange screw to ensure that the server will operate
properly.
