Align the new processor, heat pipe facing down, with the processor
socket. Install the processor, pushing firmly until fully seated
, and
secure by rotating the ejector levers inward
.
NOTE
: Place thumbs on either side of the heat pipe to avoid touching it.

Replace the right side access panel and reconnect the power cord(s).

Remove the top access panel and verify the interlock LEDs are normal.
See “System Interlock LED Status” in Chapter 3.

Replace the top access panel.

Turn on the server. See Chapter 2, “Server Installation.”
13.
Verify that the processor was installed correctly. Check the processor
frequency, cache size, and socket location by reviewing the POST
messages on the system console or processor information under the
System Information Menu of the IMD, if installed.
