ISA Modem Installation
(Slot 1)
IMPORTANT:
Slot 1 of the I/O board is dedicated to ISA modem support.
Only install an ISA modem into Slot 1 of the I/O board.
NOTE
: For additional information about your modem, refer to the Compaq
Storage and Options Documentation Library CD.
To install an ISA modem into Slot 1:
IMPORTANT:
If installing a non-Plug-and-Play modem, you must first run
the Compaq System Configuration Utility to manually add the board as a
configured component.
For more detailed instructions, see the “Installing Non-Plug and Play Boards”
section earlier in this chapter.

If the server is on, place the server in Standby, unplug all power cords,
and remove the top access panel. See Chapter 3, “Server Operation.”

Unlock and open the front bezels.
