Clearing Configuration
The computer's configuration (CMOS) may occasionally be
corrupted. When it does, it is necessary to clear the CMOS
memory.
To clear and reset the configuration perform the following
procedure:
1. Prepare the computer for disassembly.
2. Remove the system unit cover.
3. Remove the P14 jumper from pins 1 and 2 for 60 seconds;
then, replace the jumper.
4. Replace the system cover.
5. Turn the computer on.
6. Run the Computer Setup utility to reconfigure the system.
When the jumper is removed, the password becomes invalid
because the password is stored in the configuration memory.
You will need to reset the password.
