Microwave Relay Output Option
The SOLO4 Central Receiver has a Microwave Relay Output Option
that can be selected by purchasing the option below.
SOLCRXT-115140
Microwave Relay Downlink
option LBand
Frequency: 1.15 to 1.4GHz
Signal Level: 100mW 20dBm
Modulation: DVB-T 8/7/6 MHz and 2.5MHz
Tuning Step Size: 250kHz
SOLCRXT-228255
Microwave Relay Downlink
option SBand
Frequency: 2.28 to 2.55GHz
Signal Level: 100mW 20dBm
Modulation: DVB-T 8/7/6 MHz and 2.5MHz
Tuning Step Size: 250kHz
When the CRX-Relay option is installed the SOLO4 Central Receiver
can be used as a microwave relay.
When used as a microwave relay, the SMA output labelled ‘RF Out’
should be connected directly to an antenna, or to an antenna via a
power amplifier. The following factors should be considered when
connecting the CRX-Relay Option.
•
The use of long cables will reduce the transmitted power level,
therefore Power amplifier devices may be required.
•
The relay antenna should not be placed close to the CRX
receive antennas, to avoid loss of receive sensitivity, filters may
be required to ensure this.
Note: domo can conduct site surveys and frequency planning if required.
4.1 How do I control the CRX-Relay Option
The CRX-Relay option is controlled from the ‘Rebroadcast Tab’ of the
PC Control application. A screen shot of this option is shown below.
