Understanding the Status Field
This field is permanently displayed and gives the user instant status on
the four receivers within the central receiver.
The alarms have the following meaning:
Alarm
Meaning for Receiver X (1 to 4)
Demod Lock
Green = demodulation is occurring
Red = No demodulation (signal too weak, or tuned to incorrect
frequency)
Reception
Green = signal received with zero packet errors
Red = No reception
Decoder Lock
Green = video and audio decoders operating fully
Red = video and audio decoders not operating (if this is occurring
while reception is green, indicates that the service is scrambled or
that the service names do not match)
Using the Control Field
The Central Receiver controller is structured around 7 main ‘Tabs’.
These ‘Tabs’ logically divide the function of the unit and are entitled.
Tab
Meaning / Use
Global
Describes parameters specific to the entire central receiver, such as:
software version numbers, quad split control and IP parameters.
Streamer
Contains parameters that control the Netstream option, such as
streaming bitrate and IP parameters.
Rebroadcast
Contains parameters that control the Rebroadcast option, such as
microwave output parameters and selection of which services
should be rebroadcast.
Receiver 1
Contains parameters that are specific to receiver 1, such as
frequency, encryption key and RF status.
Receiver 2
Contains parameters that are specific to receiver 2, such as
frequency, encryption key and RF status.
Receiver 3
Contains parameters that are specific to receiver 3, such as
frequency, encryption key and RF status.
Receiver 4
Contains parameters that are specific to receiver 4, such as
frequency, encryption key and RF status.
The Global Tab
The global tab describes parameters specific to the entire central receiver. These
parameters are shown below.
