Advanced Operation
2.1 Central Receiver PC Controller Application Software
Advanced control of the Central Receiver system is available by using
the dedicated PC control application.
The PC Control application allows using to configure parameters such
as frequency, scrambling key and streaming parameters on the Central
Receiver. Additionally the Central Receiver Control application is a
powerful tool for monitoring the installed central receiver, monitoring
alarms and RF performance.
•
The Central Receiver is controlled by the crx_ctrl.exe application
available on the CD delivered with the product. Or downloaded from the
domo website.
Note: that exact file names may change as software version information is a part of
domo
file names.
2.2 PC Requirements for operating the Central Receiver PC
application
The Central Receiver can be controlled with a connection that is either:
•
RS232 connected to the 9 way Dtype ‘Ctrl’ port on the front of
the Central Receiver.
•
Ethernet IP connected to the RJ45 ‘ETH0’ port on the front of
the Central Receiver.
Therefore a PC is required with either an RS232 Serial COM port, or an
Ethernet IP port.
Installation of the Central Receiver control programs is as simple as
copying it from the CD to a suitable location on the PC. No install shield
routine is launched. Note that the controller generates their own log and
initialisation files, so it is best to create a dedicated directory for these
applications, perhaps with links to the applications from the desktop of
the PC.
2.3 Connecting to the Central Receiver
Launch the application by double clicking or using the run command. A
window similar to that shown below will be displayed on the PC.
