Overview
There are two ways to configure the Router. Choose one of the following:
• Run the Setup CD-ROM You can use the Setup CD-ROM. Insert the Setup
CD-ROM into the CD-ROM drive, and follow the on-screen instructions.
•
Use the Quick Installation Guide You can use the Router’s browser-
based utility. Proceed to step 1 of this Quick Installation.
1 Connection
A.
Power off your network devices, including your broadband modem.
B.
Locate an optimum location for the Router. The best place for the
Router is usually at the center of your wireless network, with line of
sight to all of your wireless devices.
C.
Fix the direction of the antennas. Normally, the higher you place the
antennas, the better the performance will be.
D.
Connect an Ethernet network
cable to the Router’s Internet
port. Then connect the other
end of the cable to your
broadband modem.
E.
Using Ethernet network cables,
connect your computers and
other Ethernet network devices
to the Router’s numbered ports.
F.
Power on the broadband
modem.
