Wireless > Basic Wireless Settings
Network Mode
The wireless standards that are running on your
network:
•
Mixed: Choose this setting if the network has
Wireless-G and Wireless-B devices.
•
Wireless-G only: Choose this setting if the network
has only Wireless-G devices
•
Wireless-B only: Choose this setting if the network
has only Wireless-B devices.
Default: Mixed
Wireless Channel
The channel that is used by the wireless nework. To
enable the WRP500 to select the best available wireless
channel, choose Auto.
Default: Auto
SSID1 Network Enabled, SSID2
Network Enabled
When this feature is enabled, the network is active.
Wireless Network Name (SSID)
A name for your wireless network, including up to 32
characters. Any character on the keyboard can be used.
The name is case sensitive.
The default wireless network (SSID1) uses a name with
the following pattern: cisco
<MAC>
where
<MAC>
represents the last four digits of the wireless MAC
address of the WRP500.
SSID Broadcast Enabled
When this feature is enabled, the WRP500 allows its
SSID to be detected by wireless clientsdevices within
range. When this feature is disabled, a wireless device
can connect to the network only if the user enters the
network name to establish a connection.
