An IR remote keypad controls the projector by way of wireless communications from
a battery-powered infrared (IR) transmitter. Use the IR remote keypad the same way
you would use a remote keypad supplied with a TV or VCR. When making key
presses, direct the keypad either toward the screen or toward the front or rear IR
sensors on the projector.
NOTE:
For improved reception, use an optional remote IR sensor to route the signal
via a phone cable plugged into the wired keypad port.
The “brick” style rental staging IR remote, typically used with
Roadster
models, is
shown in Figure 3.4. It has no laser pointer, but includes 3 additional keys: the
Swap
key for use with PIP functions,
Backlight
key for lighting keys, and direct
Input
key
used with the numbered keypad to switch from one input to another.
