6. OPERATION/SETTING
6.1 Turning Power On/Off
(1) Turning Power On/Off
Press the power switch of this instrument to turn the power on/off.
The right side of the power switch lever is for on and the left side of it is for off.
(2) Power Lamp Indication
Right after the power is on, the power lamp is lit in orange, and changed to
green immediately.
It is lit in green while the power is on.

(3) Operation after the Power is Turned On
1) Initial Operation
When the power is turned on, the following initial operation is
performed.
[For dot-printing type]
1. Dotting operation is repeated until the channel number of the
dotter becomes CH1 (Initial operation of the dotter.).
2. The pointer moves to the left side (lower limit).
3. 3.6 mm long of the chart paper is fed (Refer to 6.3 Chart
Feeding Operation, (1) Chart Feeding on Power ON,).
4. The instrument move to the operation mode
[For pen type]
1. The pointer moves to the left side.
2. 3.6 mm long of the chart paper is fed (Refer to 6.3 Chart
Feeding Operation, (1) Chart Feeding on Power ON,).

2) Initial Operation Lamp Indication and Time
1. Right after the power is on, the power lamp is lit in orange,
and the chart paper lighting is lit in high brightness.
2. Right after that, the power lamp is switched to green, and the
chart paper lighting is switched to the specified brightness.
Simultaneously all of the indication lamps, chart speed
(setting parameter), setting mode and pen selection (for pen
type) are lit.
3. Each of the chart speed (setting parameter), setting mode
and pen selection (for pen type) indication lamps are turned
off after about 2 seconds.
4. Become operation mode/lamp indication.
* 1 to 3 of the initial operation takes several to dozen seconds.
3) After Initial Operation End
After the initial operation ends, this instrument moves to the
operation mode. Indication/recording operation and state of
indication lamp depends on the state of switches when the
power is turned on (Refer to (4) Transition to Operation Mode
mentioned later).

This product is the analog recorder in which input state is
recorded with analog trend, however, digital processing is
performed with a microcomputer within the instrument.
When the power is turned on, it takes about 6 seconds at least
and up to a dozen seconds for initialization operation within the
instrument before indication/recording operation starts.
When output of the instrument is used, it takes more time for
normal output state after the power is turned on compared to
the analog instrument with an analog circuit.
