10.2 Troubleshooting
Troubleshooting methods are shown by symptoms. Read symptom items corresponding to relevant abnormalities.
(1) No Working (Power Lamp Not Lit)
Diagnosis
Cause and remedial measure
1. Check if the power is supplied to the power terminals.
Turn the power source on.
2. Check if the power supply is as specified.
Supply the power as specified (100 to 240VAC 50/60Hz).
3. Check if connections to the power terminals are correct.
Connect the cable to the power terminals (L, N) correctly.
4. Check if the power switch is placed in the ON position.
Place the power switch in the ON position.
5. Turn off and on the Power Source.
(2) Abnormal Measured Value

1.Unstable measured value
•
Check the measuring input terminals for looseness.
•
Check if the input signal is unstable.
•
Check if the AUTO CH/INDICATE switch is placed ON position.
2. Error observed
•
Check if the input signal is correct.
•
Check if the compensation lead wires are connected to the input terminals (Thermocouple
input only).
•
Check if the inkpad is loaded correctly (Dot-printing type only).
•
Check if the cartridge pen is loaded correctly (Pen type only).
•
Check if the pointer is fixed correctly.
•
Check input values. If errors are observed, perform indication adjustment (Refer to Para.
9.1.).
3. Influenced by ambient temperature
(Thermocouple input only)
•
Check if the input terminal block cover is mounted.
(3) Abnormal Recording
Symptom
Cause and remedial measure
1. Recording not executed
•
Check if the inkpad (for the dot-printing type)/cartridge pen (for the pen type) is loaded correctly.
•
Check if the pointer is fixed correctly.
•
Check if the switching of the cartridge pen UP/DOWN is done correctly (Pen type)
•
Check if the AUTO CH (for the dot-printing type)/INDICATE (for the pen type) switch is placed
ON position.
•
Check if the RECORD switch is placed ON position (Dot-printing type).
2.Light recording ink
•
Add ink to the pad or replace the inkpad (Dot-printing type).
•
Replace the cartridge pen (Pen type).
3. Abnormal chart paper feeding
•
Check if the chart paper is loaded correctly.
•
Check if the chart paper is unlatched from the sprocket.
•
Check if the chart cassette is securely inserted into the inner unit.
•
Check if the chart papers have been shuffled before loading them.
4. Error of recording
•
Check if the chart paper is non-linier scale.
Never repair or modify the instrument by replacing assembled components units or parts. Otherwise correct repair or modifications
cannot be executed, and an electric shock or the damage of the instrument may occur.
