9. ADJUSTMENT
9.1 User Indication Adjustment /Indication Check
(5) Indication Check Procedure
Input the minimum (Min) or maximum (Max) value of the input
scale by standard tools and confirm that this input value accords
with the indicated value.
If the input value does not accord with the indicated value, perform
user indication adjustment.
(6)User Indication Adjustment Procedure
Refer to the flow chart mentioned later.
[Dot-printing type]
1) Transition to User Indication Adjustment Mode
User indication adjustment can be performed only from the
one-point indication mode.
In the recording mode (RECORD ON) when the dotter is
switched to the channel with input connection for user indication
adjustment, switch to the one-point indication mode. Note that if
the AUTO CH switch is placed in the down position (One-point
indication mode) right before dotting, dotting is performed and
then the channel is switched.
When a single scale is used, you do not need to check the
channel indicated by the dotter.
[Pen type]
User indication adjustment can be performed from any mode of
operation mode. Specification of input channel can be performed in
the user indication adjustment mode.
2) User Indication Adjustment Procedure
Place No.1 of DIP switches in the down position (ON) (Refer to
6.2 Operation/Setting Change (3) DIP Switch Function).
Note: The indication lamps show the state right before key
operation. The dark color shows lighting and faint color shows blink
state.

For the instrument with burnout function, the input disconnection
is detected by applying a pulse voltage of about 10ms every 6
seconds (Input update cycle. For optional “dotting interval of 3
seconds”, every 3 seconds).
When the output voltage of the voltage generator is measured by
a digital multi-meter or others on the indication checking, the
indication of the digital multi-meter may not be stabilized by the
pulse voltage for detecting the input disconnection.
For Instrument with Burnout Function
For operations with indication mechanism operation, wrong
operations or setting may occur; therefore always check
responses of key operations (switching of display) and
completion of indication mechanism operation, perform key
operation unfailingly.

The user indication adjustment is adjustment to fit indication
values to input values.
If the shift programming (Refer to 9.2 Shift Programming.) has
been performed, even the user indication adjustment is
performed, the indication value shifts for only shift programming
adjustment.
