Mix the body filler (see Body Repair
Tips). Spread the body filler evenly
over the entire area (see Body Repair
Tips). Be sure to cover the area com
pletely.

If possible, use a body hammer and
block to shape the metal back to its
original contours. Get the metal back as
close to its original shape as possible.
Don't depend on body filler to fill dents.
Let the body filler dry until the sur-
face can just be scratched with your
fingernail. Knock the high spots from
the body filler with a body file ("Cheese-
grater"). Check frequently with the palm
of your hand for high and low spots.
