Powerheart® AED G3 Elite 9790A and 9790E
Check the Integrity of the Service Indicator (LED) and Circuitry
(for the Powerheart® G3 Elite Semi-Automatic model 9790E only):
1.
Immediately after opening the AED lid, press and hold the
Shock button and confirm that the Service LED is lit.
2.
Release the Shock button.
3.
Close the lid.
4.
Verify that the STATUS INDICATOR remains RED.
5.
Open the lid and confirm that no diagnostic panel indicators
are lit.
6.
Close the lid.
7.
Verify that the STATUS INDICATOR turns GREEN.
Check the integrity of the case:
Examine the molded case of the AED for any visible signs of stress.
If the case shows signs of stress, contact Cardiac Science Technical
Support (see
Contact information
on page 1-2) or outside the U.S.,
your local Cardiac Science representative.
Caution: Equipment Damage
When cleaning the device, use one of the following: Isopropyl
Alcohol, Ethanol, a mild soapy water solution, or a 3% hydrogen
peroxide solution.
Caution: Equipment Damage
Keep all cleaning solutions and moisture away from the inside of all
defibrillation pads and cable connector openings.
Authorized repair service
The AED has no user-serviceable internal components. Try to
resolve any maintenance issues with the AED by using the
Troubleshooting Table presented in this chapter. If you are
unable to resolve the problem, contact Cardiac Science Technical
Support (see
Contact information
on page 1-2) or outside the U.S.,
your local Cardiac Science representative.
WARNING! Shock Hazard
Do not disassemble the AED. Failure to observe this warning can
result in personal injury or death. Refer maintenance issues to Cardiac
Science authorized service personnel.
Note:
The warranty will be void upon unauthorized disassembly,
modification or service of the AED.
