Getting Started
Loading Recording Paper
When the message SUPPLY REC. PAPER appears in the display, you need to
add paper to the paper cassette. Here are a few tips you should follow when you
load paper into the paper cassette.
J
Use A4-size paper.
J
Use standard 60-90 g/m
2
weight paper.
J
Do not use wrinkled or curled paper.
J
Let the paper run out before you refill the cassette. Avoid mixing new paper
with paper remaining in the paper cassette.
J
Stack the paper so the top and bottom edges and sides are straight and even
before placing it in the paper cassette.
J
To keep the paper from curling, do not open paper packs until you are ready
to use the paper. Store unused paper from opened packs in a cool, dry
location in the original packaging.
J
The paper cassette supplied with your unit holds up to 250 sheets of standard
weight paper or a stack of 2.75 cm high.
J
In addition to feeding paper from the paper cassette, you can also manually
feed other types of paper, envelopes, labels, and transparencies. For details,
see Chapter 7, “Manual Feed of Paper/Envelopes/etc…”.
Do not load paper in the cassette when the unit is printing.
