To change between number mode, uppercase letter mode, and lowercase letter
mode, press the
* button. The mode changes every time you press.
When you are in number mode, “1” appears in the
upper right corner of the display:
UNIT NAME :1
When you are in uppercase letter mode, “A”
appears in the upper right corner of the display:
UNIT NAME :A
When you are in lowercase letter mode, “a” appears
in the upper right corner of the display:
UNIT NAME :a
To enter a symbol, make sure you are in letter mode, then press # repeatedly
until the symbol you want appears. Press any other button or

to enter the
symbol and move the cursor.
Here is the general method of entering letters:
1. Make sure the unit is in uppercase and lowercase letter mode (press
*
if not).
2. Press the button that contains the letter you want.

If you want to enter a space, press SPACE (Special Function button).
3. Press the button repeatedly as needed until the letter you want appears in the
display. Then press any other button to enter the letter.
For example, you would enter a lowercase letter k like this:

button until an “a” appears in the upper right corner, then press
the 5 button. The letter j appears in the display.
