Special Dialling
In this section, we’ll explain some special dialling features like dialling through a
switchboard, and dialling international numbers.
Dialling Through a Switchboard
A PBX (private branch exchange) is an on-site telephone switchboard.
J
If your MultiPASS L90 is connected through a switchboard, dial the outside
line number first. Then dial the rest of the number.
J
If you want to dial with automatic dialling, you may have to insert a pause
between the outside line number and the telephone number when you register
the number for one-touch (
Q
p. 3-13) or coded speed dialling (
Q
p. 3-19).
J
When you have to make calls to an extension, you may have to press the R
button before you dial the extension number. Before you can use the R
button, you have to register it as explained below.
Registering the Access Type and the Outside Line
Number
When the MultiPASS L90 is connected to a PBX or other telephone switching
system, you can register the type of access and outside line number in the R-KEY
SETTING. Once you have registered them, simply press the R button before
dialling a fax or telephone number.
