Control Widgets
The Setup screen includes control widgets that are used to set target values for the ventilator
parameters. Using the
+ (plus)
and
- (minus)
buttons, incrementally increase or decrease each
parameter value to the desired setting.
Note:
Values can also be adjusted while the ventilator is in use through the Operation screen.
The parameters available on screen for adjustment depends on the selected operating mode. Refer
to Appendix C for a complete listing of the parameters associated with each mode.
New Patient Button
The
New Patient
button is only available after the ventilator has been in use. It does not appear on
the Setup screen for the first use after powering on the ventilator.
Selecting the
New Patient
button resets all of the control widget parameters and alarms to their
default values. When selected, a confirmation popup appears. Select
Cancel
or
Confirm
, as desired.
The
New Patient
button is not available on the Setup screen when a patient is ventilated. That
operation is blocked.
Refer to Appendix A and Appendix B to review the parameter defaults and alarm defaults.
Screen Navigation
From the Setup screen, the operator can navigate among the UI screens using the buttons at the
bottom of the screen.
To navigate away from the Setup screen (with patient not ventilated):
1. Select the
Home
button to return to the Home screen.
2. Select the
Start Ventilation
button to activate the ventilator and open the Operation
screen.
To navigate away from the Setup screen (with patient ventilated):
1. Select the
Confirm
or
Cancel
button to save or reject settings changes.
Cancel and Confirm Buttons
The Operation screen is displayed.
Note:
Only the Operation screens or the Setup screen can be accessed when a patient is ventilated.
