AFETY
Read all of the pages in this Safety section before using the ventilator. Information is included
regarding:
• Warnings - identify potential hazards to the patient, medical personnel, or other
individuals, including possible life-threatening situations.
• Cautions - identify minor hazards to ensure the safety of patients as well as the safety of
medical personnel as well as guidance for proper handling of the equipment to avoid
damage and undue wear.
• Medical and Safety Symbols - identify medical and safety symbols displayed on the
ventilator case and ventilator shipping materials.
• Electromagnetic Compatibility - identifies the emission and immunity details for
electromagnetic interference of the ventilator.
• Cybersecurity - provides information regarding security implemented to prevent cyber
attacks on the CAE Air1.
Warnings
Warnings are provided to identify dangerous and potentially life-threatening conditions. All warnings
in this document must be read and followed when using the CAE Air1 ventilator. Failure to follow
these may result in ventilator malfunction leading to patient death or serious deterioration of health.
