Alarm Indications
When an alarm is triggered, audible and visible alerts signal the alarm condition and identify the
severity of the issue. All alarms can be silenced for two-minute intervals using the
Silence Alarms
button on the touchscreen. Once the triggering condition is resolved, the alarm is automatically reset
and silenced. The touchscreen is cleared of inactive banners by selecting the
Reset Alarms
button.
Audible Alarms
Ventilator alarm conditions are indicated by an audible alarm. High priority alarms will sound at the
loudest decibel setting and are not adjustable while medium and low priority alarms will sound at a
lower decibel level that can be set by the medical personnel.
Note:
The volume setting cannot be lowered below 25% of the maximum volume.
Visible Alarms
Ventilator alarm conditions are indicated by visible alarms in the form of an LED on the ventilator
case and an alarm banner on the touchscreen. The priority of the alarm is indicated by the colour as
well as by flashing or steady signals.
