Care and Maintenance
Disinfecting Procedure
After cleaning is completed, disinfect all ventilator external surfaces.
1. Prepare a solution of
1 part 5% sodium hypochlorite (bleach) diluted in 9 parts
deionized water
.
2. Apply disinfecting agent to a soft lint-free cloth or use a disposable wipe. The cloth/wipe
should be saturated, but not dripping.
3. Wipe all surfaces and areas including the touchscreen.
4. Allow disinfectant to remain on the wetted surfaces for
at least 10 minutes
.
5. After the required contact time, rinse all surfaces with a clean cloth dampened with water,
but not dripping.
6. Wipe all surfaces with dry, lint-free cloths, and allow to dry completely before re-use.
7. Dispose of the cleaning products according to the product’s instructions or other use and
disposal information.
Note:
These steps can also be used for the power cord, as needed.
