14. Signal
On Camera:
Press this button to view the strength of
the signal between the Camera and Base.
On Base:
press this button to open the signal menu.
Use UP/DOWN buttons to select one of the camera
units. Press SELECT button to get the signal strength.
It may take several seconds to obtain the signal
strength. During that time the display will show –
WAIT- message.
Note: Signal strength is not the only factor affecting
the transmission speed. Noise that may be generated
by power lines or operated equipment may reduce the
transmission rate. To improve the signal, a high gain
unidirectional antenna at the camera and/or omni-
directional high gain antenna at the base can be used.

11. Setting up the BuckEye Cam
TM
The following steps apply to the Camera or Portable Base.
A. Battery
The supplied battery is already mounted inside the
Camera and Portable Base. You will need to open up each
and connect the battery cable before the first use.
If you mistakenly plug the battery connector in back-
wards, a red light will turn on directly over the battery
connector located on the printed circuit board. If this
happens, simply unplug and reverse the cable.
If you want the battery to be fully charged before its first
use, connect the 6 Volt Wall Charger to the camera (or
base). We recommend a full charge before the first use
(approximately 10 hours).
B. Antenna
The antenna needs to be connected to each enclosure.
Make sure it is fully tightened (finger tight only).
