SENSOR
This function gives you the possibility to check communications between the
SMART 200 MTC terminal and (one by one) each of the connected sensors.
In this way it is possible to check that:
All sensors are correctly numbered and identified
All sensors respond correctly to the terminal
The same number has not been assigned to more that 1 sensor.
This function is particularly useful during the testing phase (immediately after
installation) and when operation problems occur which require a check of each
sensor individually.
The test does not send any diagnostic message to the SMART system display!
The operator shall simply select the number of the desired sensor (DEV XXX) by
using the button NEXT CY and checking that the red LED of the selected sensor is
flashing.
Once you have selected the TEST function from CONFIG menu, press
to
have access to the function.
This screen indicates that the sensor test is going to start.
Press
to continue.
DEV XXX
(or L XXX if the SIDE option is enabled)
indicates the sensor which is
being tested
(initially sensor no. 1).
Check that the Red LED of sensor XXX is
flashing and there are no other sensors with the Red LED FLASHING
If the Red LED of the sensor that should respond to the number XXX is not
flashing, it means that the sensor is faulty or that the sensors numbering
procedure has not been performed correctly. In this case try to renumber the
sensors (refer to “Parameters setting for initial installation") and, if required,
replace the sensor.
If the Red LED is flashing on more than one sensor, it means that the same
number has been assigned to more than one sensor. In this case it will be
necessary to repeat the sensor numbering procedure (refer to “Parameters
setting for first installation”).
Press
to select the next sensor and check that the Red LED of the selected
sensor is flashing.
Repeat this test on all connected sensors.
Press
to switch from Side A to Side B and vice versa.
Press once
to return to the CONFIG Menu, or twice to return to the Main
Menu.
