4.3 If Any Error Message is Displayed on the Computer
Screen
Check the error message table given below and take any necessary action.
If you press the Detail button when an error message is displayed, then the Monitor
Help will start and show Advice.
If this message appears on the
computer screen:
Do this:
No Errors.
-
Cassette not installed.
Load a tape cassette specified in the P-touch
monitor screen and click [Resume].
P-touch tape cutter is not
operating.
Turn the P-touch off and unplug the AC adapter
from the P-touch.
Remove the jammed tape and print again.
Take extra care not to get injured in your fingers
with the cutter blades.
Cannot change cassette while
printing.
(1) Load a tape cassette specified in the P-touch
monitor screen and click [Resume].
(2) Click on [Cancel] to cancel the print job. Go
to the Page Properties in the P-touch Editor
and change the selection of the supply tape
cassette so that it matches the one inside the
machine. Try printing the label again.
Cannot change cassette while
printing.
Turn the P-touch off and then on. Click
[Resume] in the P-touch monitor screen.
The tape cassette installed in the
machine does not match the type
selected in the application.
(1) Load a tape cassette specified in the P-touch
monitor screen and click [Resume].
(2) Click [Cancel] to cancel the print job.
Change the paper setting in the application so
that it matches the media loaded in the machine.
Then, try printing again.
Battery weak.
Replace the batteries with new ones, or plug in
the dedicated AC adapter.
Otherwise, charge the batteries (if they are
rechargeable).
This error message can no longer be displayed
when the batteries become empty.
Be sure to replace or recharge the batteries as
soon as possible.
This is not displayed if the battery is so weak
that power supply to the P-touch is not turned
on.
Connected P-touch is not PT-
D600.
Connect the correct model.
Wrong AC adapter connected.
Use an AC adapter exclusively designed for the
P-touch.
