If you feel at all uncertain about getting in or out
of your wheelchair, get assistance. Your attendant
should be able to provide help with the following
procedures as required.
Transferring into the Ypush

Make sure that the Ypush is on a level surface,
and it is not in brake override mode.
2
Ensure that the seat is fully unfolded and bat-
tery installed and connected.
3
To make sure the brakes are engaged try
and push the Ypush before use. If the Ypush
moves do not proceed before ensuring that the
brake system is engaged on both handles.
4
Ensure that the Key is in the Off/Charge
position and that the charger is disconnected.
5
Both armrests should be in the closed
(down) position.
6
Swing away the leg-rest/s to aid
easy access.
7
With your back to the chair (occupant),
steady yourself with the armrests and lower
yourself gently into the seat. Attendant: now
swing the footrests back into position.
8
Place your feet firmly on the footrests and ask
your attendant to adjust them as necessary.
9
Fasten the seatbelt and adjust it for comfort.
