Connection instructions
Charging with the
battery off-board
Battery care
For convenience you may charge the battery
when it is away from the Ypush. This can be very
helpful when charging a spare battery or when
power is not located within easy reach of the
Ypush.

Remove the battery from the arm
compartment of the Ypush.

Make sure that the mains is NOT connected
and or switched on.

Connect the charger directly to the battery.

The charger lights will display as per
on-board charging above.

When charging is complete disconnect the
battery from the charger and store the
charger.

The battery level can be checked
independently of the charger by pressing the
check-charge button on the body of the battery.
Make sure the battery is fully charged before
storage and use.
Battery characteristics can change depending on
charging, temperature, usage and other factors.
Listed below are guidelines to prolong battery life
and to ensure safety:
After using your Ypush
always charge it at the
end of the day - even after a short journey.
Charge any spare battery/batteries
you may
have.
If you do not use your vehicle for a pro-
longed period
, place it on charge once a week.
Never use any other charger
than that sup-
plied with your Ypush
Never USE any other battery
than that sup-
plied with your Ypush
Never expose the battery to water/immersion
Never dispose of batteries in fire / expose to
extreme heat.
Never charge your battery/ies in conditions
outside of the permissible temperature ranges
stated in the Technical Specifications section of
this manual.
Never charge in a wet or damp area.
Keep the Ypush and or battery/ies in a
well-ventilated area
and away from any naked
flame.
Do not part-charge the batteries.
Allow the
charger to complete its cycle.
Batteries are expensive to replace
– it is wise
to look after them.
When not in use, take your batteries indoors
to protect them from climatic effects.
