The Ypush can be easily folded for storage and
transportation. The Travel Roller bag supplied is
the best way to keep the Ypush protected during
transportation and storage. The following steps
will guide you to making light work of the set-up
process starting from the packed Ypush through
to being ready to drive:

Put the Roller bag in an open level area and
stand it so that the roller wheels are on the
ground. 33

Unclip the pull handle on the side
nearest the zip.

Unzip the Ypush Bag fully

Remove the Ypush from the bag. 36

Unfolding: Swing the foot rests down so that
they locate on the frame.

Release the transport tie by lifting it upwards.

Unfold the seat – Place your hands as shown
and apply outward force.
39 As the seat area
widens use the palms of your hands to apply
downward force. The seat will fully locate.

Always make sure that the Ypush is fully
unfolded before driving an occupant.

Fold down the foot plates.

Raise the handles until both “click” into the
vertical position. Pull backwards on both
handles to ensure that they are both locked. 42

Now extend the foot bars and fit the
Anti-tip wheels as shown in the previous
sections of this manual.

Remove the key to prevent any inadvertent
operation of the Ypush.

Now fit the charged battery pack:
Raise the right hand armrest.

Grip the battery retainer button and pull it.
(This will allow the battery pack to be fully
inserted into the armrest) lift the connector plug
out of the way and lower the battery pack it into
position.

Release the battery retainer button.
When the battery is fully installed, remove
the grey isolator bung from the battery socket (if
inserted)

Warning!
Pinching or Crushing. Be careful
to avoid being pinched or having your hands
crushed when lifting or handling parts. Wear
gloves whenever possible.

The Ypush wheelchair is not
suitable for use as a seat for an occupant in a
motor vehicle.

Dismantling the Ypush involves
lifting and handling parts.. Before lifting the
parts, check the Specifications section of this
manual for the various weights to avoid lifting
injuries and similar.

Never attempt to modify or
adjust safety critical parts of the Ypush such
as brakes, electrical components and or
mechanical parts. Ignoring this warning could
endanger life and or property. Your dealer
guarantee will also be affected or in the worst
case voided.
