Before driving the Ypush it is very important to
familiarise yourself with the controls and features.
Do not attempt to drive the Ypush before reading
this manual thoroughly and practising driving the
Ypush without an occupant on-board.
Battery Indicator:
1
The right-hand handle
mounted LED lights show the level of charge in
the battery pack. These consist of a row of 1x
Red, 1x Yellow & 1x Green LEDs. All LEDs lit
indicates a full battery. The fewer LEDs that are
lit, the more discharged the battery has become.
The red LED will flash to indicate an exhausted
battery and beeping will be heard. Immediate
recharging is required.
Note:
When the Ypush is climbing an incline or
starting off, the battery level may drop
momentarily; this is normal.
Ignition On/Off/Charge Key:
Switch the power
on and off using the key switch.
2
The Green
LED on the dash panel will light.
3
When in the
off/charge position the battery can be charged
(see charging section) but the drive system will
be disabled for safety reasons. Always remove
the key when the Ypush is unattended or it is
being charged.
Pre-set maximum Speed control:
The
maximum pre-set wheelchair speed can be
adjusted to suit the occupant & attendant
4
The
adjustment is via a grey rotary control inside the
left hand armrest. Turn the knob fully clockwise
for max pre-set speed (4MPH/6.4KMH) and fully
counter-clockwise for minimum. Find a speed that
is comfortable for both you (the attendant) and
the occupant.
Set the pre-set speed to the slowest setting
(Fully anti-clockwise) until you are familiar with
controlling the Ypush.
