LOWERING-Pushing the top part of the switch down
will power the anchor windlass DOWN. Make certain
that the anchor lanyard carabiner is detached from the
chain and is clear of any moving parts of the anchor wind-
lass.
RAISING-Pushing the lower part of the switch will
power the anchor windlass UP. Once the anchor and
rode is secure in the UP position, the anchor lanyard can
be re-attached to the rode.
EMERGENCY OPERATION-There is a handle that
can be used in case the power to the anchor windlass is
lost.
MANUAL DEPLOYMENT:
LOWERING- There are two star sockets used for
manual deployment of the anchor. Inserting the handle
into the center socket and turning it counter-clockwise
will loosen the anchor windlass chainwheel. The star
socket located off-center is used for retrieving and low-
ering the anchor. Turn the handle counterclockwise will
allow you to lower your anchor, while turning it clock-
wise will raise it.
CIRCUIT PROTECTION
There is a 120 amp circuit breaker located on the panel
below the bait prep station. If this circuit trips, there is a
lever that needs to be pushed up to reset the breaker.
There is a red button that can be used to test the breaker.
If the breaker continues to trip, have the anchor wind-
lass system checked by a qualified marine electrician.
The anchor windlass is located directly port of the an-
chor locker. The anchor windlass gives you a mechani-
cal means of raising and lowering the anchor.
OPERATION:
The anchor windlass is controlled by a switch located at
the helm, on the instrument panel. The switch is a mo-
mentary type switch; which means that there must be
constant pressure applied to the switch to operate the
anchor windlass.
Power is activated by a push/pull button located to the
left of the operation switch. There is a power indicator
light that illuminates when the switch is powered. There
is also a hand-held remote located in the anchor locker
that you can use for raising and lowering the anchor.
The power source for the remote is located on the aft
bulkhead of the anchor locker.
