Section 8 - Getting to know your Boston Whaler
Cleats are used to secure the boat to
the dock. While loading/unloading or
mooring, please learn the proper way
to secure the boat and how best to use
the mooring points of your boat. The
bow eye is used to haul and hold your boat onto a
trailer. The stern eyes should be used as tie down points
while trailering the boat. The bow and stern eyes should
NEVER be used for lifting. Lifting with the bow and
stern eyes can cause harmful stress on the fiberglass and
gel coat.
