Commissioning
The machine may only be commissioned and its functional tests performed if these products
are operated according to their intended function.
As a minimum, the commissioning of the ctrlX SAFETY devices SAFEX-C.1* should include
the following steps (without programming / debugging):
1.
Connection of the provided peripheral elements
2.
Importing of the safe AWL program
3.
Validation of the peripherals and the AWL program
4.
Acceptance test of the specified safety functions
5.
Documentation and countersignature of the acceptance test

ctrlX SAFETY Engineering
The standard commissioning is performed via the ctrlX SAFETY Engineering programming
software.
You can find more information on working with ctrlX SAFETY Engineering in the
“Programming manual for ctrlX SAFETY SAFEX-C.1* devices with ctrlX SAFETY
Engineering DOK-XSAFE*-SAFEX-C.1XC-PRxx-DE-P. You can find the procedure for
integration in a ctrlX AUTOMATION environment in the “Application description for the

Please note that a transfer to production can only take place after the correct execution
of the safety-related functions (according to the validation plan) has been ensured.

Commissioning of the controller
The compact safety controller can only be used after it has been programmed.
