As standard, the vanes are mounted in pos. 1-2 on the left spreading disc and in pos. 1-2 on the right spreading
disc
(see figure 1)
. If the vanes must be placed in another position than 1-2 – the position is defined at the spread chart
for the respective fertiliser at the specific working width marked “F”.
Make sure that the fixing bolt is pushed completely in the bottom of the U-shaped cut before tightening the nut.
Make sure that the washer is placed between the nut and disc - and not between the vane and the disc.
With the U-shaped cut the bolt can slide into the correct position, and it is more difficult to place the vane in a wrong
position by mistake. Respectively one U-Pos 1 and one U-Pos 2 on each disk.
In a few special cases it is necessary to mount the vanes in alternative positions e.g. 2-3 or 3-4. This will be indicat -
ed in the spread chart.
The vane type is chosen in relation to the required working width and/or fertiliser type
(see page 58)
.
NOTE: The wear on the vane placed in Pos 1 is more distinct than the ware on the vane in Pos 2. The lifetime of
the vanes can be extended if the two vanes are swopped 1 ► 2 and 2 ► 1 on each disc – when wearing marks is
visible at the Pos 1 vane.
Working width setting
Each vane is marked with an R (right) or an L (left).
Make sure to mount the two vanes with R on the right side of the spreader and the two vanes with L on the left side
of the spreader.
