EVAPORATOR WATER FLOW RATE
The rated water flow rate refers to an intake/delivery thermal differential of 5°C in relation to the supplied cooling
capacity.
The maximum allowed flow rate corresponds to a thermal differential of 3°C: higher values may result in excessive
pressure drop and damage the evaporator.
The minimum allowed flow rate corresponds to a thermal differential of 8°C or a pressure drop of not less than 10
kPa: lower values may result in excessively low evaporating temperatures and trip the emergency stop.

The minimum allowed evaporator delivery temperature is 6°C; consult paragraph 6.6 for lower temperatures.
The maximum allowed evaporator intake temperature is 20°C. For higher temperatures, accessory equipment
must be installed (split circuits, three-way valves, bypasses, accumulation tanks); contact our technical department
for recommended solutions.

The minimum condenser intake temperature (stable operation) is 28 °C: lower temperatures can result in compressor
malfunction or failure.
The maximum condenser delivery temperature is 47 °C. Violation of these limits will result in an emergency stop.

6.4 AMBIENT AIR TEMPERATURE
The units are designed and manufactured to operate in the ambient temperature ranges indicated in the diagrams
of working limits. For ambient temperatures outside these ranges contact our technical department.
Note that heat pump performance is significantly reduced in low ambient temperatures (below 0 °C)
Units can be equipped on request with an electric heater for the evaporator.
The heater operates when the evaporator delivery temperature falls below the antifreeze thermostat set point
with the machine shut down.

When operating in ambient temperatures lower than 15°C, a fan speed regulator must be installed. This enables
operation even in low ambient temperatures by reducing the flow of air to the condenser, thus keeping operation
within parameters.
It can also be used to reduce the operating noise level when the ambient temperature falls (e.g. at night).
The fan speed regulator is factory set and tested.
