Depending on the relative position of the condenser unit and evaporator sections, certain parameters should be
observed when installing the refrigerant line.

a) Install siphons at least every 6 metres on vertical upward sections of pipelines in order to facilitate the return of
oil to the compressor.
b) Install a sump on the liquid line downline of the thermostat valve bulb;
c) Make sure there is a gradient of at least 1% on horizontal sections of the suction line in order to facilitate oil
return to the compressor (as above).
The pipe diameter should be taken from Table I according to the unit model and the length of the connection
line.

a) Install a siphon on the suction line of the same height as the evaporator in order to avoid liquid refrigerant from
entering the compressor when the unit is idle;
b) Install a sump along the liquid line downline of the thermostat valve bulb to collect liquid refrigerant which may
form during unit shutdowns. Once the compressor starts up again, this liquid refrigerant will evaporate rapidly:
it is therefore advisable that this process should occur at a suitable distance from the bulb to prevent interference
with operation of the thermostat valve.
c) Make sure there is a gradient of at least 1% along horizontal sections of the suction line to facilitate oil return
to the compressor.
