MINI-MODEM V.92

3. Installation

This chapter shows you step by step how to set up your Mini-Modem V.92 and
make your first calls.

3.1 Package Contents and What You Will Need

Before starting, please make sure you have everything you need. In addition to this
manual, we supply:

• the modem,

• an autosensing universal power supply,

• (1) power cord,

• (1) RJ-11/RJ-11 phone cable,

• (1) DB9 female/DB25 male cable

• (4) self-adhesive, plastic feet,

• a registration card,

• a setup CD, and

• a PhoneTools/winphone CD.

You will also need to supply:

• a computer with an unused serial port,

• a nearby AC power outlet,

• a nearby telephone line jack, and

• a nearby leased-line jack or terminals (optional).
