2) Select MEASURE MATCH MODE
a) Push trace measurement field to display menu.
b) Select SWR or Return Loss from the Measurement
Mode menu.
c) Select the number of Data Measurement points
(default to 801).
d) Set the Frequency range:
NOTE: Changing the frequency settings will
automatically turn the calibration off. You always set the
frequency before calibrating the unit. Once start/ stop
frequencies are entered manually, be sure to follow
instructions to calibrate prior to use.
<1> Set start and stop frequencies for the applicable RF
system under test using the TABLE 1. RF SYSTEM
FREQUENCY RANGE CHART below.
NOTE: Chart is for typical frequencies and reference
only. System operational frequencies and Maximum
VSWR may slightly vary between aircraft type and
systems. Observe your Airframe Maintenance Manual,
Aircraft Wiring Diagram Manual and Component
Maintenance Manual.
<A> Example - For TCAS, set the start/stop frequency at
a wider span the system’s frequency range as specified
in the chart. The chart shows that the start/stop
frequency should be set at a minimum of 1020 MHz and
1100 MHz to test the system’s operating frequency of
1030 MHz and 1090 MHz.
